| What tests can I take at SignOn? |
All RID certification tests are available at SignOn. Some tests may be easier to schedule than others because not all of the LTA's are able to administer all tests. |

| Where do I pay for the test? |
Application, registration, and payment for all tests must be done through the National Testing System (NTS) at RID, Inc. http://www.rid.org/nic.html

| Why doesn't your site have testing dates listed in Views? |
SignOn tries to provide flexible scheduling. While we do set up official testing weekends, we realize that not all candidates can take advantage of these times. Sometimes we can schedule short notice (although we do not recommend this). Printing all of our testing times would take up too much space.

| What about the written tests? |
RID controls the scheduling of the written tests. Super and regular sites must follow this schedule. The NTS collects written test applications, and when they have a large enough number in a certain geographic area, they contact the nearest testing center to schedule a testing time. Supersites cannot schedule outside of this time. Certified Deaf Interpreter written tests can be scheduled anytime. |

| Can I schedule a test right after I apply and pay for it? |
No; In order to schedule, the Supersite needs verification that RID has received the application and payment for the test(s) candidates want to take. In most cases this is a copy/fax of the receipt letter. Supersites can't hold appointments for candidates without this verification, so the right order is:
1 - fill out the testing application form and send it with payment to RID
2 - receive the receipt of payment from RID
3 - fax/mail a copy of this letter to the Supersite with some preferred dates/times

| Will you be able to tell me how long it will be before I get my results? |
No; We don't have much more information than you do. We have no contact with the raters and RID does not provide us with information about how long test results are taking. Candidates who need this kind of information will get faster and more complete information by calling RID at (703) 838-0030 V, (703) 838-0459 TTY, (703) 838-0454 Fax. |

| Do I schedule the interview and performance portions of the NIC at different times? |
No. What is known as the "NIC Performance" is actually a two-part test done on video. It consists of an ethical test and a performance test. They are done on the same day however candidates can decide which part to take first. This means that there is only one appointment needed for the whole thing. |
