SEATTLE, Wash.-Hands On Video Relay Service (HOVRS) and SignOn have launched a new Video Relay Service (VRS) call center located in the heart of Seattle to support the rapid growth of HOVRS.

SignOn will manage and staff the call center using high quality, accurate and ethical sign language interpreters.

Both SignOn and HOVRS uphold the importance of high quality sign language interpretation, support for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, and are committed to both video and community on-site interpreting services.

"We are happy to be working with a company that has the innovative spirit and national reputation for excellence that HOVRS has," SignOn CEO, Karen Graham said. "It's a wonderful compliment to our video remote and on-site interpreting programs. We look forward to expanding our ability to support the Deaf community in eliminating communication barriers wherever they exist."

VRS is a telephone service for sign language using Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals to communicate effectively and naturally with hearing individuals. VRS uses the internet to provide a video link to a certified Video Interpreter who facilitates communication between a sign language user and an English or Spanish speaking hearing person.
